Seminarian Intern

Emily will work on several projects for A2S this summer as she is soaking up all the richness of our organization. As a preacher and storyteller by profession, one of her main goals this summer is to help share, proclaim, and tell our story.

She is brand new to A2S and she comes to us from one of our partner churches, All Saints Episcopal Church Concord, NC. Emily is about to finish her last year in seminary at Candler School of Theology attached to Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She previously worked as a Hospital Chaplain for Novant Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte and Children and Youth Director at All Saints. She is no stranger to the nonprofit and mission world. She has served several different churches, nonprofits, and mission organizations in Zanzibar, Tanzania; Haiti; Tennessee; Georgia; and North Carolina. And hopefully next year God Willing and people consenting she will be ordained as a priest in the Episcopal Church. Ask her about how she sees the stories of A2S weaved into the story of Job.

Andrew Lovedale

Founder
Andrew Lovedale
Founder

Andrew is the inspiration behind Access to Success, and serves on staff. Andrew is passionate about pouring his heart and soul into making a difference for the children and people of his country. During his summer trip in 2015, Andrew was on the mission field leading an empowerment session in Nigeria when his first child, Osas, came into the world — six weeks early — in the United States! This former Davidson College basketball star’s love of hoops isn’t a secret, but he also has skills on the soccer field, and you should see him dance alongside his youngest son, Ese! And don’t be surprised to hear him singing … in the office, the car, or even the shower, according to his wife Molly!

Cooking has been my hobby since I was a teenager and seeing the children at the academy enjoy the meals I cook gives me great joy. When my husband died, leaving me with three children, life became so unbearable. I was confused and perplexed about the future of my children because there was no help coming. Now, when my children come back from the After School Academy, the first thing they tell me after greeting is the delicious meal they had at the academy, with so much joy all over their faces. They also tell me what they learned.
