Vision Trip – Team Two

While participating in Team Two, team members will discover Nigerian entrepreneurs through the A2S Entrepreneur Pitch Competition. Our Entrepreneur Incubator Program guides aspiring entrepreneurs through the planning, funding, implementation, and growth of their chosen business. Entrepreneurs selected from the pitch competition are mentored by U.S and African business leaders to learn practical skills and develop a thoughtful business model. Trip participants will assist our Nigerian team in conducting a Vacation Bible School (VBS) for over 300 youth at the A2S After School Academy, as a part of our community outreach initiative. You will also distribute athletic and educational supplies to local schools, as well as the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp, where approximately 3,000 women and orphans have been displaced from their homes by the terrorist group, Boko Haram.

All trip participants will have the opportunity to tour the historic sites of the Benin Kingdom and the city of Lagos, which helped to shape our A2S community. They will also spend time investing in the A2S After School Academy kids. This takes place through serving and sharing a meal after their schooling, visiting the property of the new After School Academy, attending Gospel Ministries Bible Church with A2S staff and children, and by making FaithFuel memories by visiting the homes of the A2S Academy children (FaithFuel is our monthly giving program that serves the A2S community, as a whole).
