Benjamin was born in Uromi, is a husband of one wife, father of three children, and a grandfather. He began his education in Uromi and then moved to Edo College for his secondary education. He has a degree in Christian religious studies, masters in Christian Theology, a post graduate diploma in public administration, and a doctorate degree in Divinity.
Presently, he is the bishop of Gospel Ministries International Incorporated and his passion for souls drove him to provide shelter and education for about 25 orphans and less privileged, which he is still doing today. He was awarded an honorary degree in law. He is Vice President Access to Success Nigeria.
A former teammate of Andrew’s, Dan graduated from Davidson College with a degree in Economics. Dan has since founded several small internet-based businesses, and has led teams that protect billions of people from spam, malware, phishing, and other forms of abuse across over a dozen Google products. He is currently a manager on Google’s Trust & Safety team, and is based in Dublin, Ireland.
In his free time, Dan enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and trying new things.
Kwesi Fynn has over 10 years of experience in management and technology consulting, specifically serving in a Business Analyst role. He has served in a Risk Analyst position, tasked with combating online fraud originating from Africa. Mr. Fynn’s focus is to spearhead finding technological solutions to improve production, lower costs, and increase the scalability of companies and entrepreneurs. He enjoys reading books by American best-selling author, attorney, and politician John Grisham. Mr. Fynn offers the advice that success is reached by having patience and belief in the product and the problem that a company is aiming to solve. He loves that A2S empowers youth to reach heights higher than they can imagine.
Andy Galdi is the Director of Baseball Research and Development at the Philadelphia Phillies. As director, Mr. Galdi oversees all baseball analytics, including data visualization and reporting, statistical research, and data infrastructure. Before working for the Philadelphia Phillies, he spent two years as a statistician for the NBA and focused on analyzing referees. Mr. Galdi then served as a quantitative analyst for YouTube. He has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Mathematics, as well as a master’s degree in Statistics. Mr. Galdi notes that Elements of Statistical Learning is one of the best statistics books out there. He is interested in understanding what makes effective managers and teams and is driven by the challenge of creating an environment that allows everyone to realize their full potential. Mr. Galdi loves that A2S listens to those in Benin City to understand how to most effectively empower the community members to achieve their goals. He advises potential entrepreneurs to continually assess user and customer needs and consider both small and large ways to make customer lives easier. According to Mr. Galdi, “The most successful businesses are the ones that customers love to use.”
Erica Madden is the owner and founder of Bloom Strategic Communication where she works to assist small businesses, startups, and nonprofits by developing results-driven action plans. Ms. Madden is passionate about storytelling, philanthropy, and entrepreneurism. She has spent most of her career working in communications and fundraising in the education and nonprofit sectors. A passion for running led her to compete in several marathons and countless races. Her favorite book is The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown. To prospective entrepreneurs, Ms. Madden says, “Be curious, get creative, and surround yourself with people smarter than you!” She loves A2S’s focus on education, training, and support to give youth a new path for healthy lives. Ms. Madden notes that education goes both ways, she learns as much from our Nigerian family as they do from us.
