That’s how far we’ve gone – literally- to lean in, to dig deep, and to show up. Since 2010, these journeys to Nigeria have been more than flights; they’ve been acts of faith. Each mile tells a story of listening closely, learning humbly, unlearning boldly, and linking arms across continents. What started as simple visits have become sacred rhythms, shaping a movement grounded in purpose and propelled by people like you.
Each trip carries the fingerprints of a growing community—the dreams of children, the ideas of staff past and present, the oversight of board members, the service of volunteers, and the generosity of donors and partners. Every single contribution, no matter how small, bears witness to God’s faithfulness.
A2S began with a simple story about shoes and a shared desire to serve. I didn’t stumble into purpose through a plan, but through people. A2S wasn’t built in the typical way, where you discover an identity and then gather a community. Ours has always been the opposite: we built a community first, and together we’ve been discovering who we are, one step, one prayer, one leap of faith at a time.
Because the truth is, changing lives is like aiming at a moving target. Our identity has been formed brick by brick, moment by moment, led not by certainty but by trust in God’s divine agenda.
On September 20, 2025, we will celebrate 15 years of this unfolding journey. And just as our community formed us 15 years ago, it will continue to guide where we are going, and how to best succeed in the ever-changing landscapes of the future.
