Osamudiamen, God is Standing by Me

Siblings are usually the first best friends we encounter if we are lucky to have them. Our five-year-old star girl Osamudiamen has God standing firm with her at all times, as the meaning of her name implies. She has two best friends in her siblings, Teghese, whose name means “The time has come”, and Imuentinyan, whose name means “My trust is in God”. Osamudiamen is the youngest of her siblings. They live with her mother, Mrs. Uyi, who volunteers at the After School Academy to help keep everything clean and ready for our students each day.

Osamudiamen had a special connection when she met her teacher at the After School Academy. Her teacher, Imuetinyan, shares a name with Osamudiamen’s older sister. Osamudiamen loves the lessons she’s learned from Ms. Imuetinyan- like how to design drawings with colorful markers and straw cut out beads. She is currently an A student in Kindergarten class 2. She performs above average in all her subjects in school and has an inquisitive mind. She enjoys letter work the most and likes to form words from cut out cardboard letters.

Osamudiamen lives in a peaceful community close to the A2S After School Academy. Her mother has a catering business, and Osamudiamen loves to eat! She is thrilled whenever her mother cooks her favorite food: steamy hot beans porridge. The best thing about having our kids’ mothers volunteer at the After School Academy is that they are served their favorite meals throughout the week.

Her mother is so proud of the kind of child her daughter is becoming because she is so caring. Osamudiamen even won an award in her school as the most caring student. Her mother is happy that she interacts with positive people who do not take advantage of her sweet nature. In the future, Osamudiamen wants to become an aeronautical engineer and fly her family abroad. We pray that God grants her heart desires.

Osamudiamen loves Jesus so much and prays every evening with her family and at Wednesday prayers at the After School Academy.
