Meet Grace, our diligent student

Our 11-year-old Grace has lofty aspirations. She is growing to be a confident young lady at the After School Academy and has developed strong interests in banking and journalism. In life’s journey, there is no “perfect path”. As Grace continues her journey into young adulthood, like traveling across an open ocean, we’re excited to see how she weathers varying conditions, learns new skills, and considers all possibilities as she finds her way to success.

Grace is a top student and is currently in Junior Class 1. She excelled in her previous class and is adjusting to her new one. She excels in arithmetic and is putting a lot of effort into expanding her knowledge of business studies. Grace is now always ready to learn since she has access to exciting learning activities thanks to attending the After School Academy. She enjoys spending time in the youth center library because there are so many books to read there when she has free time. She appreciates all the people who have donated books and other educational resources to Access to Success.

In addition to being a diligent student, Grace asks God daily for an excellent memory so she may never forget the important lessons she is taught.

Grace’s compassionate personality is why her family and friends adore her. She enjoys showing her five siblings’ affection and lending a hand when needed. She uses the techniques she learns from the Home Management Club at the After School Academy while sweeping the house, getting water, and washing her clothes; all of which she does efficiently. She avoids punishment and is always pleased to see her family content and together. Grace’s father is a mechanical engineer, while her mother stays home. Grace’s greatest dream is to live in a better home with a reliable source of electricity and running water.

Grace enjoys praying and reading the Bible in the hopes of learning more about God and His only Son. The Genesis creation story, in particular, fascinates Grace. Grace wants everyone to truly love one another and spread love genuinely.
