Meet Marvellous! He dreams of becoming a medical doctor. The characteristics one needs to perform this job well include strength, bravery, life sensitivity, and passion for others. Marvellous possesses each one of these attributes. His mother, who is also his favorite parent, confirmed that he is a very trustworthy and hardworking youngster who loves his siblings and takes good care of them.

The first kid in a family of four and a bright student at the After School Academy, the 12-year-old’s favorite subject is math. His heart’s desire is to place first in the class, so he always devotes his free time to studying hard and working on his assignments. He does, however, make time in his schedule to play football with his younger brother, Dominion.

Marvellous was recently accepted into the After School Academy, which has been the buzz of the community and a sight to behold ever since it moved to the Youth Center in his neighborhood, Ogiso Community. He was thrilled when his parents agreed to let him and his siblings apply for admission. They went through the admissions process, but Marvellous was the only one that got accepted because of the limited slots. He hopes that in the future, his brothers and sister will be able to attend the Academy because they have noticed significant improvements in his vocabulary and math skills.

At home, the gifts and school supplies are appreciated. The food package that his parents were given for the Nigerian general election break, went a long way to cushioning them at home even in these challenging times in Nigeria. He aspires to grow into a big, strong man like his father and to contribute to his community in a positive way like Access to Success Foundation founder Andrew Lovedale.

He leaves the After School Academy at 5:30 pm every weekday and spends some time at his father’s barbershop before going to his mother’s tailor shop, which is close to his house. At home, he washes his uniforms and reads while his mother prepares dinner. His father would have finished work by the time they had dinner, and after an evening prayer, they would all retire to bed. Marvellous prays for his mother’s fashion business to grow, for his father to finish building their home so they can live comfortably, and for his ambition to become a doctor, come true.

He aspires to be a distinguished doctor who can improve global health by building modern hospitals in remote areas, as well as be able to care for the sick. Marvellous is delighted to be a believer because he knows that God hears prayers and can meet all of our wants according to his abundance.

We pray that Marvellous brings about major transformations that will benefit both Nigeria, and Africa.
