In the communities we serve, dreams often struggle to take flight amidst adversity, but Access To Success carries, coaches, and connects children to a dignified path to success.

Meet Praise, an 11-year-old dynamo whose resolute spirit and unwavering determination embody the essence of the Access to Success Foundation’s mission.

Praise is a star in the Junior class two at the After School Academy. Her enthusiasm for learning is to be emulated by all, particularly in her favorite subject, Mathematics. She was awarded best in Mathematics and overall best student in her class during the A2S award and graduation ceremony. She stands as a testament to the transformative impact of a nurturing educational environment. As the only female child in a household of five, her parents are proud and happy about her achievements, cherishing every milestone as a step towards a brighter future. However, she still wonders why she has to do household chores.

Despite her academic triumphs, Praise holds tight to a lofty aspiration to become a pediatrician. She is motivated by the desire to ensure the health and well-being of children. She mirrors the values of the After School Academy, which not only educates children but also feeds them and provides necessary school supplies to alleviate the financial burden of many parents in the community.

Praise is not exempted from the challenges posed by her humble background; with a mother who sells roasted groundnuts at the local market and a father working as an intrastate bus driver, Praise is grateful for the support and encouragement she receives at home. She also treasures the freedom to study and grow, empowered by her parents’ unwavering belief in her potential. She prays to God for financial provisions for her family to relocate from their current residence, which is plagued by flooding and mosquito infestations,  threatening her family’s well-being. Join Praise to pray for a better home, one that promises safety and healthy living conditions  for her family.

Access to Success Foundation emerges as a guiding light through establishing a youth center in her community. The Foundation not only imparts quality education but also offers a haven of growth and opportunity for countless children, just like Praise. The Foundation’s commitment to nurturing young minds ensures that hope is not just a distant dream but a tangible reality for those in need.

Praise enjoys the extracurricular club activities. As a Music club member, she is learning to train her angelic voice. Also, she uses her voice well in the A2S Media; she speaks with clear intonation, and her vocabulary is improving. She wishes to spend more time in the Rutledge Johnson Library at the After School Academy. She has read over 20 books and keeps a record of new words. One of her academic goals is to be an A2S U.S Scholar, and she has heard the testimonies of Jennifer and Blessing and the groundbreaking success they are making in the U.S., which is making the After School Academy proud.

As we champion the cause of education and empowerment, Praise’s journey reminds us that with determination and support, every child can aspire to greatness. Like her favorite Bible verse, Exodus 14 verse 14, God will fight for you, and you will hold your peace. She is grateful to all the donors and friends of the Access to Success Foundation who are relentlessly fighting for the dreams of all the 240 children at the After School Academy by investing in their future and teaching them to think in possibilities.

Praise role models after Andrew Lovedale, Founder of Access to Success Foundation. She likes his dedication to sharing smiles, inspiring hope, and empowering dreams.
