Meet Emmanuella, a bright and compassionate 10-year-old girl whose journey through life we can say just started; she believes that God is with her always. She turns 11 years old in November, and her heart is filled with joy because she is not celebrating alone; she has a twin brother, Emmanuel, who is the opposite of her extroverted self. They live with their parents and big sister, Honeybell.

Attending the After School Academy every weekday remains one of the best parts of her day; she is happy she receives support that is shaping her future and other children at the After School Academy. Her loving parents, Mr. Innocent and Mrs. Christabel, appreciate Emmanuella by surprising her with gift items that make her so happy. They believe that children are gifts from God and should be given beyond the bare minimum regardless of their financial or family status, which is a shared burden with Access to Success. During the A2S Community talk this past month, Emanuella’s father was so happy to talk about her recent improvements in English Language and how determined she is about her educational goals. Emmanuella cherishes the moments spent with her family, engaging in heartwarming activities like making funny mimics of one another, listening to her parents’ stories, and cooking dinner with her mother. These moments of togetherness bring her immense joy.

Emmanuella is a diligent student, currently in Junior Class two. She finds Basic Science and Technology interesting because she learns about the body and other biological things, which will be helpful for our future surgeon. Emmanuella feels the pain of those who are sick and cannot wait to help out. She dreams of studying medicine at a prestigious foreign university and prays that God provides all it takes to fulfill her dreams. With her plans, she aspires to improve her academic standing by dedicating herself to daily studying.

Emmanuella is well aware of her community’s challenges; with potable running water being a common issue. Making clean water accessible to all in her community is one of the benefits provided by the A2S Youth Centre. Emmanuella’s happiness radiates when her school fees are paid, and she also likes it when she acquires new things like shoes and clothes. Her happiness revolves around the simple joys of life, and her faith is an integral part of her life. She identifies as an evangelical, born-again Christian and believes her relationship with Jesus has brought her blessings, such as her dad’s financial success and academic achievement.

She looks up to Andrew Lovedale, who empowers people’s dreams and opens doors to education abroad, like the A2S American scholarship she dreams of. Emmanuella seeks the FaithFuel community’s prayers for guidance and support in her journey towards becoming a doctor.

Emmanuella’s favourite colour is blue, and she loves home management club as it involves making household items. In the realm of food, Emmanuella’s favourite is fried rice and chicken.

Emmanuella is a shining example of the potential for goodness and greatness within each of us, regardless of our age or circumstances. Her story reminds us to cherish our families, follow our dreams, and strive to be the best versions of ourselves, just as she aspires to be. Emmanuella is inspiring us all to make a difference and change the world for the better.

Emmanuella has a simple yet profound message for the world: “Strive to be the best version of ourselves.
