A Room Filled with Purpose

The A2S community has grown beyond measure over the last few years, having individuals whose hearts have been devoted to stewardship. One such person is Mrs Blessing. She is a teacher at the After School Academy and has shown an unwavering commitment to the intellectual growth of the children in her care. She pours out her heart and pays attention to every detail.

Married with a kid, Mrs. Blessing considers herself to be blessed by God as He has given her a very supportive husband, who ensures she shows up at the Academy early and helps her balance work, life, and house responsibilities She considers her son as a source of her inspiration to fight through every challenge that comes her way and makes her thrive to do much more than she can do. Even being a Butcher and earning a substantial income, Mrs Blessing says that her husband goes to every length to ensure that there is food on their table daily.

Being a teacher has helped her contribute to the growth of the children, not just at the after-school but also in her community. She sees teaching as a purpose and not just a job. She has a long passion for teaching and helping children. The children in her community have become fond of her and look forward to spending time with her. In her words,  “ Interacting with kids and putting a smile on their faces is a rare opportunity.”  She hopes that someday she will have the chance to not just be a teacher but also a donor.

Mrs Blessing’s heart is wholly devoted to God, she considers Him as the source of her strength. During her most difficult times, God always comes through for her and helps her through every phase of life. Her go-to scripture is John 1:1, as it reminds her that God is indeed with her and through his word. Working for A2S has further reassured her that God isn’t done with her yet.

A2S has created a platform for her to do more, and she always looks forward to coming to work daily. For her, it has given her hope to look beyond her current situation and hope for a better future for her child and unborn baby. One thing she holds dearly and declares every time she walks to work, is someday she will give more than she is giving out as a teacher.

Her earnest prayer is that God opens an opportunity for her husband that will change their life for the better, and draw her husband closer to God. She hopes that she will get a chance to leave her current home for a place that is more safe and conducive for her family. She is forever thankful to the donors who constantly put a smile on every child’s face. It is an act so priceless for all those who share in the blessing.
