Evidence Onuchukwu (means “God’s mouthpiece”) is 12 years old and enjoys mathematics because he enjoys doing calculations and working with electrical tools. Evidence is a genius child who does not struggle much with his studies, as he is a high-flier, but he does benefit greatly from the After School Academy in English language.

One of his educational goals is to improve his spoken and written English skills. In the future, Evidence would love to be a successful artist and to create beautiful art works and stories that people will love. He hopes to graduate from a reputable school as cool as Oxford University. Although he is aware that his dream of studying abroad is bigger than him, he is hopeful that he will receive a scholarship and make his parents proud.

Evidence has been living in the Ogiso Community for over ten years with his mother, Mrs. Florence, and father, Mr. Isaac, as well as his four elder siblings. He has never seen anything like the A2S Youth Center. He considers the Youth Center to be a new blessing to the community, and he appreciates how the Academy focuses on kids like him.

Prayer time is his family’s time together. They sincerely pray for Access to Success and all the donors who make the programs possible. He now has access to great teachers like his English teacher, Mr. Kingsley, a well-stocked library, and he gets to eat his favorite food, jollof rice and chicken, at the cafeteria, thanks to the Academy.

Evidence is the last child in his family and does house chores such as washing dishes and sweeping. He is overjoyed when he receives gifts from others, and he adores the Christmas outfit he received from A2S during the holiday season.

Evidence is a born again Christian, and he admires King David in the Bible. He is the author of his favorite Psalms. Psalm 99 is his favorite because it is a prayer of protection. He adores his parents so much; his mother is a school principal. She is hardworking, beautiful, and sustains the family, along with his father, who is a businessman. Evidence undoubtedly aspires to be just like Leonardo da Vinci, the artist.

According to Evidence, “When I get a job, I’ll help build a better house for my family because our home was damaged by the flood. I’ll also help subsidize food for people in my community because of Nigeria’s high inflation rate.”
