In our community here in Nigeria, children whose parents are pastors are placed on a high pedestal. They are looked up to as the gold standard, so there was always pressure to be an upright child for Success, our feature for this month. Success’s unique family dynamics helped him succeed in his education and business. His father is a dedicated pastor and often away due to his commitments to his business and the Church. On the other hand, Success’s mother, the keeper of their home, is a paragon of discipline and love. She audits every action of her children in old age; others may think she is too strict, but she intends to guide her children toward the right path. Among her many teachings, two lessons stood out in Success’s life: never stay out late without a purpose, always speak up, and never allow yourself to be bullied into silence.
Success learned the art of connecting with good people regardless of their backgrounds. His ability to relate to others is a defining trait that led him to make good friends like Destiny in his early days at the University of Benin studying Anatomy. Destiny played a pivotal role in upgrading Succcess’s life as he introduced him to the A2S Scholars Program. Their participation enabled them to meet and mingle with positive-minded people. It exposed Success to life-changing opportunities in A2S, like the Entrepreneur Empowerment Program Pitch Competition and workshops. Success and his friends are members of the EEP online community of entrepreneurs, where they engage in enlightening talks about business. Just like how tiny drops of water can make a large puddle, their entrepreneurial spirit was quickened, leading to the innovation that birthed Afrisated, a brand that seeks to improve the agricultural and food supply chain in Nigeria and Africa.
His values are realistically optimistic, transparent, and diligent in all his endeavors. These values help him stay focused, even when the demands of life threaten to overwhelm him. Success has learned not to overwork himself, but to focus on the most important tasks and allocate time for less critical pursuits. This positive mindset helps Success pour himself into everything he does. While in the university, he focused on his studies and made A2S and his family proud when he graduated in December with high marks.

To those who aspire to follow in his footsteps, Success’s message is perseverance and consistency. He acknowledges that the right path may be demanding, but he believes that unwavering dedication would yield results. Key highlights of Success’s journey are being accepted into the A2S scholarship program, winning the 2022 pitch competition, and making history as one of the youngest and first scholar-led startups funded by Access To Success.
Success’s journey so far is a testament to his unwavering determination, the values instilled in him by his family, the A2S family and his commitment to making the world a better place. He is truly destined for success with a heart full of compassion and a vision for change.
